Daniil Andreev Museum

The sanctuary Nerussa river, the Chukhrai village of Suzemka – all these places, important and dear to Daniil Andreev, the famous poet and philosopher, are situated either at the territory of the Nature Reserve itself or in its conservation zone. In the 30’s he came to Trubchevsk which is several kilometers away from here a few times and came here to the picturesque reaches of the Nerussa, to the hidden Chukhrai village.

On 29^th July 1931 at the banks of the sanctuary river Daniil Andreev experienced something what he later called «the outbreak of the cosmic consciousness». That, in fact, became the starting point for the writing of his famous «The Rose of the World» treatise.

Last year we decided to found a mini-museum that is going to be dedicated to the writer, his life and his connection to these places in the research and educational station of the Nature Reserve in Chukhrai village. We called all the people who are not indifferent to Daniil Andreev’s work to help creating it. Today the museum is in the stage of making layouts for the future stands. As soon as they are ready, approved of and sent to be printed we’ll announce the opening of the Daniil Andreev Mini-Museum in Chukhrai village.
